About Trussville Children’s Theater
Trussville Children’s Theater (TCT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to nurturing creativity, confidence, and collaboration in young people through the performing arts. We believe that theater is more than just the stage - it’s a place for children to discover their voices, build meaningful friendships, and develop life skills that last far beyond the final curtain call.
Through productions, workshops, camps, and individualized training, we give students a place to create, grow, build confidence, and experience the magic of theater together.

Our Story
Trussville Children’s Theater was founded in 2024 with a simple belief: young people in our community deserved a place where they could experience the joy, challenge, and belonging that come from creating theater together.
What began as an idea quickly grew into a community of young performers, families, volunteers, artists, and supporters who believed in that vision too.
Since then, TCT has continued to grow - producing full-scale musicals, creating opportunities for students of all experience levels, offering theater education and training, and giving young performers a place to discover just how much they’re capable of.
And we’re only getting started.

Yes, students learn to sing, dance, act, audition, memorize lines, and perform for an audience.
But along the way, something bigger happens.
They learn to speak with confidence. They learn how to receive feedback and keep trying. They discover that their individual contribution matters to a larger team. They form friendships with students they may never have met otherwise. And sometimes, they discover a place where they finally feel completely at home.
The final performance is exciting, but who they become while getting there matters even more.

Some students want the spotlight. Others discover they love dancing in the ensemble, building a character, learning choreography, helping backstage, or simply being part of a team.
Some arrive at TCT with years of experience.
Others walk through our doors having never set foot on a stage.
